EP Rinkside 2022 NHL Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 30-ranked Boston Bruins
No need to beat around the bush here: The Boston Bruins do not owe to the most glamorous collection of prospects.
The top end is lacking an elite piece, the depth isn't there, and the likelihood of this system yielding any impact players in the near future is low. This is the cost of doing business when your NHL team is a long-term contender, as the Bruins have been for the better part of a decade-plus.
In order to reach the playoffs for the 13th time in the last 15 seasons -- a run that's been highlighted by a pair of trips to the Stanley Cup Final, and even one win -- you're going to have to make some sacrifices, and the Bruins have regularly burned futures at the alter of contention for some time now.
Consistently finishing outside of lottery range means the chances of pulling a high-end asset are significantly diminished. And that’s where we are in Beantown.
As such, we present the 30th-ranked Boston Bruins prospect pool.
