How top NHL affiliated prospects fared at the 2025 World Juniors

For the first time ever, USA are back-to-back World Junior Champions. 

Leading the way, were Capitals prospects Ryan Leonard and Cole Hutson, along with plenty more.

Of course, the World Juniors won't make or break a prospect, but it does provide valuable feedback on just how far players are in their development and their ability to adapt to a different environment. 

Among drafted players, some of the biggest winners include Ryan Leonard, Tom Willander, Zeev Buium, Eriks Mateiko, and more.
